From 28 September to 1 October, the Innovamed Spain team will be at LSI Europe ’26, the Emerging Medtech Summit held at the Grand Hyatt Barcelona. Now in its fifth edition, the summit brings together over a thousand founders, startups, investors, strategic corporations and service providers from the international medtech and healthtech community.
The fact that this year’s summit takes place in Barcelona holds particular value for us. As a Contract Manufacturing Organization with our own facility in Barberà del Vallès, we operate in the very territory where much of Southern Europe’s medtech talent is concentrated.
LSI Europe gathers a very specific profile each year: emerging companies presenting their technology to active investors from venture capital, private equity, corporate venture and family office funds. These are projects with traction, with funding and, in many cases, with production firmly in their sights.
And it is precisely at that transition point where the question Innovamed answers daily appears: how to turn a validated technology into a manufacturable, traceable and certified medical product. The answer runs through very concrete decisions:
For an investor, manufacturing capability is not a technical detail: it is a risk factor. A project without an identified manufacturing partner accumulates uncertainty around timelines, unit costs and regulatory viability. Closing that variable early changes the equation for both the startup and whoever funds it.
Innovamed has spent more than two decades covering exactly that space. Manufacturing a medical device is not about moulding a plastic part, but about documenting it, qualifying it and guaranteeing that every unit leaving the line is identical, traceable and compliant.
If you are attending LSI Europe ’26 and your project is at prototype, scale-up or production transfer stage, we would be glad to talk. Four days allow for many conversations, and the best ones usually start with a specific technical question.
