Innovamed, industrial partner to the clinical innovation defining the future of medtech

A few days ago, the Innovamed Spain team attended a session at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona), organised by the BCN Medicare Hub. During the meeting, the senior leaders of the university hospital’s different areas shared the institution’s operations and strategic vision: advancing innovative projects with real impact on the healthcare sector.

For Innovamed, this visit represented more than an institutional meeting. It is the expression of a conviction that guides our activity: the future of medtech is born in clinical and academic environments like this one, and our role is to accompany those ideas until they become certified, competitive medical products.

From the clinical environment to market: where Innovamed comes in

Research centres, university hospitals and academic groups are the origin of much of medical innovation. Clinical projects, university spin-offs and science-based developments continuously generate solutions with the potential to transform healthcare.

However, the path from a clinical innovation to a certified medical device, producible at volume and distributable in the European market, is full of technical and regulatory complexities. Innovamed exists precisely to cover that space.

The session at UIC Barcelona reaffirmed something we believe deeply: the ideas that will transform tomorrow’s medicine are being developed today in university hospitals, research laboratories and academic projects. The challenge is not creativity, it is execution.
