A few days ago, the Innovamed Spain team took part in a session held at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), organised by the BCN Medicare Hub, the Barcelona industrial ecosystem for the medical sector of which we are members. During the meeting, medical startups incubated at the university itself presented their projects in development.
For Innovamed, sessions of this kind carry clear strategic value: identifying innovative projects at an early stage and explaining directly how we can accompany them from the first design iteration through to the certified, market-ready product.
Our role as a Contract Manufacturing Organization specialised in medical devices translates into tangible industrial capabilities:
The gap between an idea validated in the laboratory and a certified medical product ready for market is one of the most persistent realities in the sector. That space, industrialisation, requires a partner who understands both the logic of innovation and the demands of a regulated environment: every part must be documented, qualified and traceable. This is not bureaucracy, it is the foundation on which the market’s trust in a healthcare product is built.
Innovamed has spent more than two decades working in exactly that space. Our participation in the BCN Medicare Hub allows us to integrate our production capacity into an ecosystem covering the complementary stages of development, offering startups a complete industrial pathway.
Sessions like the one at UPC confirm that innovative talent in Spanish and Catalan universities exists and is of the highest level. Our commitment is to ensure that talent finds the industrial partner it needs.
