The Second Intercluster Workshop on Exploration with Advanced Materials will be held at Innovamed

On the 10th of May 2018 at 9:30 a.m. the "Second Intercluster Workshop on Exploration with Advanced Materials " will take place at INNOVAMED's facilities (C/ Nàpols 13, 08210 Barberà del Vallès), where specific topics about materials of the medical sector will be discussed, such as:

• Polymers (peek, degradable, etc.) to improve osseointegration by means of biomolecules and with antibacterial properties
• New 3D materials for different uses
• Photocatalytic materials and biocides
• Medication delivery systems in oncology and ophthalmology
• Self-cleaning coverings through hidden ducts
• Thermoelectric antibacterial systems in hospitals
• New alloys that improve properties and reduce toxicities

(Among many other challenges that have been emerging since the First Intercluster Workshop on Exploration with Advanced Materials held on April 6 at the delegation of ACCIÓ Barcelona).

In this session, we will delve deeper into these challenges and begin to outline possible solutions.
